Picked up a cheap No.1 Rawhide hammer the other day.

So I have turned 2 Lignum Vitae 'buns' for it.

Used some off cuts from an old bowling ball.

Should make a nice plane adjusted hammer - has plenty of weight for sure!

 

I did not even clamp this to dry or clean the Lignum like I normally do (with acetone)

Sometimes it pays to cut corners for the sake of time.
